Thomas White, was born 8 November 1797 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and attended the Duncannon Presbyterian Church at 3 N. High Street in Duncannon, PA. Thomas is of Irish ancestry and for many years was largely engaged in the lumber business. He married Mary Taylor and they lived in Perry County until his death, 22 Sept 1864. They are both buried in the Gailey-White cemetery in the Cove. He was an Elder in the church from 1845 until he died in 1864. He was a 40 year member of this church. Thomas and Mary had three children: Alex Gailey, James McMaster, and Elizabeth. Thomas and Mary built a house that is still occupied at the end of the Cove.

A.G. White, also known as Alex Gailey White was the son of Thomas White. He was also an Elder in the Duncannon Presbyterian Church. He was born 19 Sep 1822 and became a member of this church in 1839 at the age of 17-18. He served on the board of trustees for many years and was elected as an Elder in 1875. Alex married Margaretta Robinson in 1844. They had 11 children: Mary, Thomas, Nancy, Margaretta, James & Rhoda (Twins, buried in Gailey White Cemetery), David, George, Richard, Anna, and Musser William.
