Are you connected to the Duart family https://generationsremembered.net/?attachment_id=89
I am connected to them through Sarah Duart and James Grier
I am looking for anyone connected to this family.
thanks
Ken Kreer
I believe we are related. My immigrant ancestor, John Duart (4x great grandfather) and wife Jane Hicks had the following children:Sarah (married to James Greer), Hill, Priscilla, William John, David (my direct line married Sarah Place), James, Moses and one other child born in 1823. I know that John and Jane Duart came from County Down, Ireland, but have not been able to get much more about the family in Ireland. I believe some of John Jr. family are in Michigan or Minnesota. Other than that, I have been busy with other lines and not gotten to research much more. I am always collecting information for when I can figure out how to put it on the DUART ONS website. If you have a chart like mine that I can put on the site, I would be glad to do that. My grandmother was Catherine Vivian Duart Brown. Mom is a Brown who married a White. I say I’m milk chocolate because I married a Hershey.
Regards,
Debbie White Hershey
James Grier and Sarah Duart are my 3g grandparents. They had 6 children, but only 4 show up on any records I have found.
I have not found records for Mary and George Greer prior to 1861.
The census for Cavan township, upper Canada for 1851. George Greer is my 2g grandfather. I have a record of James and Sarah’s marriage in Cavan if you are interested.
thanks
Ken Greer
